Other categories of the award include, Best Campus Radio presenter, Best Online Radio Channel, Best Online TV Channel and Website/Blog of the year.
Others nominated for the Best Campus Radio Station were Search FM, Diamond FM, ESUT FM, Caritas FM, Noun FM, Uni. Ben FM and Uni. Ilorin FM, Lumen FM and Kasui FM.
Receiving the trophy, the Vice Chancellor of Godfrey Okoye University Enugu and Chief Executive Officer of the Radio Station, Very Rev. Fr. Prof. Christian Anieke attributed the success to hard work on the part of the management and staff of the Radio. He called on the entire University community to learn from this example they had set.
Also speaking on today’s edition of “The Round Table” on Go-Uni. Radio, Alex Ogbodo and Divine Ifeonyemetalu discussed the recently held Nigeria Broadcasters Merit Award held in Barcelona hotel, Abuja.
Mr. Ogbodo explained that the winners were placed in different categories and segments which include Television station/Channel categories, Radio station categories, News casters categories, Campus and online categories, GTV categories, Radio presenters’ categories and among others.
Alex Ogbodo advised staff and students working in the Radio Station to continue working hard and stay dedicated to the job of Broadcasting.
